چکیده

1. History.?Dengue appeared in Zanzibar in July, 1870, (see Dr. James Christie " On ' Kidinga Pepo'" in tlie Lancet, February 17th, 1872 or Art. 25 half-yearly Abstract of the Medical Sciences, Vol. LV. Jan-June 1872). The epidemic followed the coast of Africa and is supposed to have been imported into Aden by the Somalis. From Aden it followed the coast of Arabia up to Mutha where it was fully developed in September, 1871, and from Aden, also, it appears to have been imported into Bombay and Calcutta by the shipping trade (vide Review of Dr. Charles' " Dengue" and Dr. DaCunlia's " Dengue" in Indian Medical Gazette, Vol. VIII.
